It’s not as scary as it sounds; we’re looking for someone who can handle a spreadsheet and use a calculator. If that sounds like you then get in touch!
Our Scout Group is a charity in it’s own right, which means we manage our finances ourselves. We need someone who either has experience managing money (your own or others!) or someone who is looking to learn.
As a Treasurer, you’ll be a Trustee for our Group, so you’ll work as part of a team that keeps the Group in ship shape behind the scenes.
Your tasks will include:
- Providing an annual report of the Group’s finances
- Helping to agree a yearly budget
- Keeping track of spending
- Approving and making payments on behalf of our other volunteers
You’ll be needed to attend Trustee Board meetings 3 or 4 times a year, but other than that we’ll just need you to keep on top of things when you have the time.
