Young people love to build dens. But it’s not just about how much fun they have, or the amazing memories they make. They’re learning to work together, think for themselves and play their part. As a part of the Beaver Team, you can use your skills to help young people find theirs, while learning new ones for yourself. (Oh, and it’s really fun too!)
Not required: Scouty skills, experience or knowledge.
Required: A big smile, a willingness to get stuck in and maybe a readiness to sweep the hall every now and
then!
Some things you could get involved with:
- Running activities
- Playing games
- Taking the register
- Tidying up after messy Beavers!
- Keeping on top of which badges have been earned
- Ordering badges
- Setting up resources and equipment for activities (a fancy way of saying getting out the glue and pencils!)
If you can spare a night a week or a night a month, then we want you to join our Beaver Team and help give our 6 –
8 year olds skills for life.
